TITLE: Front Desk and Welcome Center Support Staff (Bilingual)

JOB GOAL:
The Front Desk and Welcome Center Support Staff team member is responsible for performing a variety of clerical functions concerning the maintenance of all student records with respect to confidentiality. As the front-line-employee for USD 500, your role will be extremely important for improving customer experience and satisfaction. The goal should always be to make our guests feel comfortable and satisfied while in our office. These team members will also respond to Welcome Center and school registration-related inquiries from district staff, families, and community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide a warm and welcoming five-star customer service environment to KCKPS families
- Assist and support families with all aspects of the online school registration process
- Supports school personnel with troubleshooting registration and registration barriers for families
- Assist families with completing, processing, and uploading required school registration documents into Infinite Campus, such as address verifications, residential affidavits, and power of attorney
- Supports Coordinator of Enrollment and Family Support with processing transfer permit requests as well as planning, coordinating, and attending school registration events
- Maintain confidentiality of student, parent, and staff information
- Maintain all student records in the Division of Student Services and Family Support
- Respond to written requests from appropriate agencies, schools, and persons regarding all student records
- Verify accuracy of requested information and appropriate signatures for release of records
- Communicate with school building staff members regarding requests for records.
- Perform all data entry functions pertaining to maintenance of student records, including transcripts
- Prepare routine correspondences in response to informational requests and process district forms as assigned
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Technology Programs

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced problem-solving; organizational and effective communication skills
- Attention to detail in all aspects of assigned duties
- Bi-lingual Required (Spanish)
- Experience with data entry, excel, and other computer programs
- Strong oral and written communication
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to the daily needs of the job
- Effectively manage time and work with frequent interruptions
- 60 College hours or passing score on pre-employment test
COMMUNICATION / ORGANIZATION:
- Maintains communication with school personnel, and parents/guardians to enhance cooperative action which will meet the educational needs of students.
- Utilizes existing technology effectively in the performance of duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, parents, students, and the general public.
